OpisGo Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026.
Summary
OpisGo does not collect your transactions or financial data: everything you import is processed and stored only on your iPhone. There are no user accounts, analytics, advertising or trackers. The app’s only network connection is for the subscription: Apple and RevenueCat (the service that verifies purchases) receive your purchase history and an anonymous identifier, never your financial data.
Who is responsible
OpisGo. Contact: support@opisgo.com.
What data the app handles
When you choose a bank statement (CSV or Excel), the app reads the file on your device and stores, for each transaction:
- the date, amount and currency;
- the merchant or counterparty name and the description, as they appear in your statement (if a transaction shows another person’s name, for example in a transfer, that text is stored as is);
- an irreversible, keyed fingerprint of the counterparty’s IBAN, used only to recognise your own accounts. The IBAN itself is not stored;
- the assigned category and, if the statement includes them, the transaction type and the merchant category code (MCC).
The app does not store: the account holder’s name, your IBAN or account number, running balances, addresses or contact details. The original file is removed from the app’s cache after it is read.
You may also voluntarily store settings such as your savings goal, your categories, language and currency, or your account balances to calculate net worth.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
- In an encrypted database (SQLCipher, AES-256) on your device. The encryption key is kept in the iOS Keychain.
- You can turn on the Face ID / Touch ID lock.
- App data is not backed up to any service of ours: none exists. Backups made by iOS (iCloud or your computer) follow the system’s rules and your settings.
Subscription and payments
OpisGo is paid through a subscription managed by Apple (App Store). To check that your subscription is active we use RevenueCat, which receives: an anonymous identifier generated for your installation, the app’s purchase history and technical device data needed to validate the purchase. It does not receive your name, your email (we do not ask for it), your transactions or any banking data; Apple processes the payment. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings.
What we do NOT do
- We do not send your transactions or financial data to any server or third party. Only the subscription information described above is shared.
- We use no analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs or automatic crash reports.
- We never ask for your bank credentials and never connect to your bank.
- We do not use cloud AI to classify your transactions: categorisation happens on your device.
Your rights
Because we do not hold your financial data, we cannot access or modify it for you. For subscription information you can contact Apple and RevenueCat, or write to us. You are in full control: you can delete individual transactions from the Documents tab, edit your categories and, from Profile, tap “Delete account” to permanently erase all your data (the encryption key is also destroyed). Uninstalling the app also removes all data from the device.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If in the future a feature (for example optional sync with your computer) changes how data is handled, we will update this policy before enabling it and let you know in the app.
